Jing Gong (JG) HK416 Assault Rifle
Posted on November 29, 2007 by Admin
Another product from Jing Gong (JG) that is making noise around the airsoft market is the JG HK416 assault rifle (est. US$110). This product is of course manufactured in China and has a weight of 5.0 kg. It has a metal gear box and shoots at 370-390 fps out of the box. Some reviews says the gun’s finish is pretty crappy, plastic body as well, and sounded a bit like a babies rattle (hmmm..a typical Jing Gong complaint). But, I don’t have to worry about it if I were you. What are airsoft gunsmiths for anyway?

You got your facts all wrong. Firstly, it weighs 2.7kg, ~2840g with the mag. The whole packging comes at 4.4kgs. Secondly the frontgrip, the barrel-buffer, the sights and a few other parts are full metal, the receiver and the stock beeing the only major parts that are plastic. Thirdly.. it’s a very solid construction. The only rattle you’ll hear is from the BB’s hitting opponent’s helmets.
first i just bought one from indonesia, and i want to upgrade this HK416 for 500+fps…..could anyone tell me what part that must be changed ……??
is there any links about review and upgrade about this cute little arms ?
thanks to anyone who help me….
change the spring to sp140 and make sure to change the spring guide and your bushings are metal
just a newbie. a supplier’s offering 2 types of jg hk416, one with what he called crane stock and another with external battery. which do you think is better?
I’d prefer the external battery, saves you with the hassles of inserting your battery inside the crane stock.
no way man the crane stock looks much better…leaves the rail free for everything you want to put on it
altho the PEQ box batt does save on batt change times!
I want to increase my HK416’s rate of fire without increasing its fps. What parts should i upgrade? My bushings are already metal. TIA
You might wanna check by using a 11.1v lipoly battery. Change your motor to an EG1000 or equivalent or better, with higher speed motor.
IF YOU WANT MORE ROF:
1. Change to a Fast Gear Ratio/High Speed Gears or (stock gear ratio will do)
2. Cylinder set-up should be type 2-3 + short barrel equivalent.
And what scope is recommended for an HK416? TIA again
Try the magnified ACOG
sir Rudy,
you will need a reinforced gearbox, Pref. 7mm or up, torque up gear, reinforced piston, piston head w/ bearing, spring guide with bearing, air nozle, torque up motor, and a higher voltage/mah battery.
I have HK 416 JG (short barrel and external battery) with 450 fps (tested). I want to put a silencer and a longer precision barrel 6.03. I don’t know if I have to change the piston+head or anything else to transform my HK into sniper ?
No need, but if you’re gonna use a silencer, you might wanna extend the length of your barrel.
i got my new HK 416 (JG) .. out of the box, 430 fps!! hehe/..galing!
Nice..but if you chronod it using a Guarder 3000 Chronometer you may add 20 fps on your 430fps (So your HK416 is 450fps out of the box). They say that the Guarder 3000 Chrono is not as accurate as the other chronos and that you have to add 20fps on the total.
Does the jg 416 with the fixed stock have a 1 piece barrel? I noticed that the barrel is longer but not sure if it’s a 2 piece like the echo 1.
Hi there, all JG HK416 has one-piece barrel.
I was using my 416 and noticed it was pulling to the right, probably from the hop rubber being misaligned, i opened it up but couldn’t remove or dismantle the hop unit from the barrel. Closed it up again and it fired it a few times then it DIED. FUSE IT FINE and its not jammed…help?
With regards to your 416 “pulling to the right”, you might also wanna check the hop bucking. It should be “straight-level”. With regards to your gun which “died”. You need to bring that to your nearest gunsmith. Might be some lose electrical wirings.
i have my hk416, de le ko ka timing sa pag adjust sa hop niya ang bala mag korb pa ubos nya mag duble duble ang iya bala, unsa on nako pag timing ani ug ngano iya bala nag dubleduble bag o na ni na ilisan ug battery kay nada-ot. pls help me sir.

got wide plan to have an HK416 as a 2nd gun… how much? and where po ako maka buy nyan dito sa CDO City..?

How would I increase the ROF to about 30 rounds a second, with out lowering the spring, its the stock M120S, the motor in it is stock, its equal to a SRC high torque.
You might wanna use a 11.1v 1650mah 15c Lipoly Battery. This will surely increase the ROF of your aeg without changing anything on your internals.
if i use spring 150 , metal bushing and spring guide
can the gearbox withstand ?
Use a “re-enforced” gearbox. Usually, brand names such as systema, g&p or king arms re-enforced gearbox can withstand springs like the 150.
I thought u could go up to a 150, without re-enforcing the gearbox on this 416. anything higher, yeah i would say you might need to reinforce it.
Yes, you may otherwise use the 416 stock gearbox, but I won’t guarantee it will last long. That is why if you use stronger springs such as the SP130 or PDI 220, you need to re-enforce that gearbox or it may break.
but websites said hk 416 product code 6621 already uses reinforced gearbox if may be different with older version hk 416 ??(if there was, which product code was not 6621 but lets say 55xx something?)
to which hk you referring ?
and i saw in http://www.airsofgi.com the JG gearbox even more expensive than others which mean my JG HK 416 product code 6621 no longer needs a reinforced gearbox??? if i want installed sp 150 or sp 140 ??
where can I find a metal body for this, It needs to be able to ship to the United States!!
check airsplat.com. =)
i cant release the gearbox from the body,
how to release /take the gearbox out from that body ??
i have dismantled most part, stock, baterai, etc just only to take the gearbox out, how is it ??
it likes sticking to some thing but i can not figure it out
You must’ve dismantled your gun without releasing the spring. That is why it is hard to remove the gearbox from the body.
Things to remember. Before you open your gun for maintenance or upgrades, you have to fire your aeg (semi-auto, auto, then back to semi) allowing the spring tension to be released and to disengage the anti-reverse latch from the bevel gear.
Solution. Try to create a hook-shape wire and dis-engage (pull backwards) the reverse latch from the bevel gear through the pistol grip (remove motor). It’s kinda tricky, but it can be done. If you can’t do it, bring your aeg to your nearest gunsmith.
Should I run a 12 volt battery in this or a 10.8 volt (large plug). I don’t wanna go LI-PO due to the EXPENSIVENESS of them. I re-wired my 416 to use the 8.4 volt large, and I noticed a ROF difference. (Kinda Weird, cause its similar to the same battery the gun comes with). I want a real fast ROF. If your wondering, I’m using a Polycarb piston, M120S, and a SRC High-torque. PLEASE HELP ME MAKE MY DECISION. Thank you.
As long as your battery does not exceed 12v, everything is fine. Just make sure, those bushings are metal.
But will the ROF be noticeably different between a 10.8 volt & the 12v?
There will be a slight difference, but you won’t really notice it
what parts should i need if i want to upgrade the fps of my hk 416 fullbutt?
Change your stock spring and upgrade your battery.
what kind/type of spring? any best brand?
Try Systema Springs
what is the original spring of jg hk 416?
sp 110 or sp 120 or even sp 100 ?
Depends on what country you are. We have SP 120 here in the Philippines
